Traveling without a stroller

April 27, 2011

There are some trips when a stroller is not necessary. (usually when we are going to visit the grandparents and they already have one at the other end!) Before Connor started walking on his own I loved putting him in his sling or his carrier.

In Connor’s first year we did a lot of air travel so it helped to be organized and take as little as possible. On the trips that I could get away without having a stroller, I used his sling or carrier. Both were amazing in that I could carry him through the airport and still manage to have my hands free for carrying bags, passport etc and Connor loved to be snuggled.

It’s important to get one that doesn’t hurt your back, that is comfortable for infant and one that’s easy to put on (and take off).

*It should be noted that you are not allowed to have a baby or a toddler in the sling for take off and landing.

Happy Travels!
